Artist Lee Brock
Galleries and museums in Fort Lauderdale and Miami, Fla. and in Provincetown, Mass. have shown Lee Brock's paintings, drawings and prints. Her work has a well developed sense of modern, contemporary design that can translate into many types of decor. Lee’s art is influenced by the painters of American and European Abstract Expressionism, Japanese Sumi ink paintings and the Mid-Century Modern designers of Europe and the Americas.
Statement: I am fascinated by the two ways humans use line, shape and color to communicate. One is to build precise, measured alphabets and symbols to codify our verbal languages. The other is the primal, spontaneous use of line, shape and color by artists creating non-objective art. I have been exploring this abstract expression for years using many mediums and processes. Recently I added digital painting on an iPad to my repertoire. As an artist who has always worked quickly I find this new media exciting and satisfying. These limited edition prints can be produced on a variety of materials and and in different sizes, custom color themes can be developed as well.
